" CAE Book Groups are a great way to satisfy your passion for the written word. Get together with other readers to share your impressions and opinions in a discussion group dedicated to taking a closer look at books. We provide books on loan: choose from our catalogue of over 1,000 titles. No buying, no teachers, no homework – just the luxury of exploring your ideas at your own pace. More than 11,000 people meet each month to stretch their minds in a CAE Book Group. Wherever you are in mainland Australia – capital city or remote regional area – we can supply books and notes to you. 'Friendships have blossomed and new interests have been explored. Ideas and opinions have been shared, examined, relished, celebrated. The life experience of our diverse group has been a rich source in our many animated discussions.' – Sandy, Healesville Group with a View, Victoria" www.cae.edu.au/?infosection=bookgroups

"Books authors and notes
Fiction | Cultures | Lives | Non-fiction | Memoir | Art | History | Philosophy
We have more than 1000 titles available for loan, ranging from the latest international literary prize winners to first time local authors. Each year our staff of dedicated readers and notewriters hand-pick 40 new titles to add balance and diversity to our current list. Books are chosen for their potential to create and sustain dynamic discussion. CAE Book Group members also recommend titles they’d like to see in our catalogue.
Something which distinguishes our program from others is that we provide a set of specially commissioned discussion notes to accompany the book. The notes also include a number of questions – an excellent starting point for discussion! Four CAE Book Groups and their most recent year of reading Como Booklovers (WA)
