That is interesting Violet. The closest to that that I have read, is a Western by Stephen Bly. I think I'll go check out the library catalogue now.

No luck there. I like the quilt aspect to it.

Hm, not sure where my reply ended up. I think they sound great, and I love the covers. If I track any of her books down, I'll send them up, Br.

Actually went to the library today, and they had two of these books on the shelves. Very exciting.

Thanks for thinking about me about the book Violet. I could ask my library, they are very good about stock suggestions.

Guess what? ;D
I went to get my facts straight to write to the library about a stock suggestion, and I found that I typed the initial wrong in the search. It turns out my library does have E. Fowler. ;D

I hope to hear your opinion of the books, Br. The main character, Benni, is really upbeat and very open in her dealings with people, overall. They're very American, and they do highlight some of the cultural differences between our two, quite similar, countries. I'm enjoying them.

It is going well so far. Have you read Goose In The Pond?

Nope, all I could get was 'Broken Dishes' and 'Delectable Mountains". I enjoyed them.

I didn't notice the cultural differences too much, especially since I read the third book in the Belles of Lordsburg series by Stephen Bly first and knew some of the Spanish words, and some I knew from growing up with some Spanish children. They are very good. I do lose interest occasionally because I have always had trouble with plots on movies, and in this case keeping track of the characters. I still have a lot to read though.

I am actually buying Fool's Puzzle to catch up on the start to this series.
