I'm a bit prone to reading gardening books like some people read novels - purely for enjoyment. This particular book has been around for years, and as I feel that my gardening knowledge needs a big boost, I finally gave in and bought it. It is relevant to our particular situation, so I may actually put some of what I learn to use.
