This year we are trying okra, collard greens and winter squash for the first time.
I hope in the autumn in Australia I will be just as sucessful as Deed was with her garden this season.
DH hopes to get them into the ground on the weekend, but we have been saying that for awhile. It is a little daunting seeing as we have no idea about these vegetables.

Good luck BR. I know that greens and squash are easy to grow and usually do quite well. I have never grown Okra, but love to eat it..Yum

One group has three leaves now. The other little straight up stalks with leaves at the top. The other hasn't made an appearance. The straight up stalks ones are very unusual.

The winter squash have taken off in this heat. Everyone has told me they know what squash are, and I say, they are American squash, ie something new. They seem to be pointy in shape, will have to wait just a little longer to see them.
