Okay so I really started it about 5 years ago and finished it last year. These are 16" blocks and it is a King size. I decided on the duvet cover when I machine quilted my first 45" x 60" quilt, that was a PITA so no way was I stuffing a king size under there! Um...... Yes you're right, I have a thing about green! You gals are gonna have to help me with that to expand my horizons to different colors.

Love it. I have that green in my bathroom, that the previous owners decorated. It is in the tiles on the floor. I am at a loss with the repainting. The border tile is terracotta.
Your garden looks great, lots of privacy and a nice lawn to play with the kids on, and shade as well!
Is that a kind of terracotta in the d/c? Maybe I could have the mottled lilac? and is it charcoal or black?

Nope BR, not terra cotta in it. I'll take a close up pic to show you in a bit.
It is a floral, yellowy gold, light green plaid, dark green and a cream colored fabric.

Oh well. I like your burgundy and green fabric. Thanks for posting a closeup. I saw it earlier, I have been doing alot of driving today. I am sure I will think of a bathroom color eventually.

Braidedrug,
Why don't you paint either a lighter version of the terra cotta or a nice cream? And you could also go with the sage green in a lighter version. HTH

Sage in a lighter version sounds interesting. The cream that is there now is a pale lemon, a nice color but with the whitish tiles just too bland for my taste. It needs painting as well, not just for the color change. I like cream, lemon I'm not keen on.

Hey Deed! Just saw your quilt. That flower fabric in the close up.........well, I have that one too and have used it for several things! That is a cool looking quilt you made there! Congrats!!! I'm getting ready to design a quilt ..............very large wall quilt........for Thanksgiving up in the mountains where we will be spending this years holiday. No, it won't be one of those 9,000 hr. projects but, will include a lot of different size squares and rectgangles. I'll put "Piute Mountain Holiday Thanksgiving.....2005" on the front somewhere in among the Thanksgiving picture panels etc. It will be colorful........and, at 2:30am this morning I decided to make 5" lightly stuffed pumpkins.......and when the guests come they will sign their names and attach their pumpkin to the quilt with a little gold safety pin, wherever they want it. Then next year the hostess can put up the quilt again and they can get their pumpkin and write the new date on it and put it back up on the quilt! ...........kind of a "I was here" thing! Maybe it's a dumb idea........I don't know.......it was 2:30am so what can you expect? The reason it is going to be big is because these people live at the 6500ft. level where there are no utilities and they are totally self contained......in the wilds, so to speak! They have their own chapel on their property and it is all wood in and out, like a huge one room log cabin. Three arched windows at the end I think and no windows on the sides. So...........I need something big to put on one wall. This will be fun I think...........I have fabric all over the downstairs floor in my sewing area. I'll get Frank to help me do the math on this one..........all different size squares and big rectangles and small squares put together so it all comes out even in a rectgangle...............or square! First though...........I broke my back molar and it is hurting so I have to find a dentist today...........and I HATE dentists and am such a chicken to pain! I have to get it fixed or I'll really be sorry this weekend when we drive down to Los Angeles for the weekend!! I'll try and think about my quilt while I am in the chair.............I'll try!!! ok..........gotta go get dressed and get a move on here. Later............. phyllis

The dentist won't hurt, I'm more scared of the water, especially these days they tend to lay you back more.
How many metres is 6,500ft?
