Wow...thanks for posting my pic Carolyn and thanks to you gals for such warm words of encouragement! I went shopping at JoAnn's last spring, so you can tell by the bright colors that I was in a "spring color" mode! LOL The pattern was originally in muted blues and country colors....I decided to perk it up a bit!

I think you did a fabulous job Tammie! I don't know how you have the patience for doing applique work? I have tried it and um.... thrown it across the room! LOL

Just to answer a few questions I see here: Dee~ I don't have the patience to do needle turn applique...that is way too "putzy" for this gal! But since I've discovered the ease and simplicity of fusible webbing...voila! I just trace my pattern on the fusible webbing, iron it to the back of the fabric I'll use...cut out the shape, iron it on my quilt and the finish up with the button hole (or blanket) stitch around the shape. It's sort of like cheating I guess! Sparkle~ It hasn't taken me too long, been working on it for about 2 months I guess...off and on. Not done yet, still appliqueing flowers all around the purple border. Then I'll have the hand quilting to do.
