from growing in Iowa: Corn, Tomatoes and Apples, probably soy beans too, but I've never tried those.
I thought our garden was shot this year because the ground down there is so poor. Well, I went down there yeaterday to empty my compost bucket and there are roses, raspberry bushes, and tomatoes. The corn stalks are coming up nicely, though not nearly as tall as the ones in the field behind them. There is a peper plant with 1 flower on it and 1 cucumber vine covered in flowers. I'm shocked!
