Can you tell us (again) how to do a circle? I want to make a tablecloth for one of those pressed wood, 3 legged, side table thingies. TIA!

When you buy your fabric you will need quite a bit to do this. This is just for instance: You need 2 yards in length and width to give you the drape you want. You will need to purchase 4 yards of fabric (or double what the length is) Then you cut the piece of fabric in 1/2, (2 yards each) and cut one piece cut down the length again. Now you will sew these to each side of the other piece. Don't forget to cut off the selvages, they will make your tablecloth pucker the first time you wash it.
You never piece it down the center, it will give you a ridge on the top of your table. This way the seams are on the sides or the drape part.
You may need someone to help you with this.
For the tablecloth: Take a cloth tape measure and place '0' in the center of the table and measure across to the edge and down to the floor )or where ever you want the length to be. Mark this measurement down. Don't forget to add in the hem allowance.
Take your fabric and fold in half then half again. Now it is in quarters. Lay it on a flat surface, I would also put a few pins in it to hold it in place,. At the corner fold, (the point where they come together) have someone hold the '0' end of the tape measure then you with a fabric marker or pencil and using the measurement you took from the table mark your measurement. Do it in an arc (like a 1/4 circle). Put some more pins in to hold it and carefully cut on your mark. when you unfold it, it will be a circle.
Hem.
If this isn't clear, just ask and I'll see if I can explain it better
