yep I am laughing and gigglin like a school girl!
You see, now this is a tad long, I have been searching for a sewing machine, the one i was given a month ago does not work, and is not worth the $80 to fix (it is a euro pro, looks like a cheap Brother).
Well yesterday at my noon prayer time it dawned on me, I have never asked God to help me get one.
So I did right then and there I prayed for His help.
And this morning, in my inbox was a reply to a free cycle post i made 2 weeks ago!
It said "We have a sewing machine that is yours for the taking. It works, but can be temperamental according to my wife. Let us know if you are still interested."
I emailed him right away and said yes, where could i pick it up at?
I had to go to town at 1 to get Drew from his college test anyway.
The gentlman replied with the pertinent information, and at 130 we got the most wonderful gift!
It is an old machine, appears to be all metal, a Kenmore 158.850.
The lady said the bobbin was fussy, so it will need a tune up eventually.
Ladies I have played with it for over an hour (car over heated on the way home and we had to sit for an hour waiting for it to cool back down) I figured out the bobbin winder, and got the tension set to where i can sew a straight line, and no gunky wads of thread underneath! The stitches are soooo tiny!
I need to find a manual, but I did find a threading schematic online and saved it.
This machine is in a gorgeous cabinet that matches my wood floors! Or will once they are sanded!
So now i can schedule an hour or 2 sewing each day, I am so close to heaven right now!
God does answer prayer, and He can be very quick about it too!
