Here is the t-shirt I designed. Okay call me old fashioned but I don't care for those drop shoulder t-shirts. I think most t-shirts (which I love wearing btw) are sloppy enough without adding that feature to them and on thin children or short people like me, look like sacks in my opinion. I took a size 3 child's blouse pattern and just used the outline of it, then I adjusted the neckline so I could add ribbing to it and I made it into short sleeves. This didn't come out quite how I wanted it to, so I have made some adjustments again and am sewing up the new version now, which I will come back and post a pic for you all. Embroidery stitching I added around the neck and sleeve hems.

The embroidery is very pretty, and I'm amazed that you can do so much fiddling with patterns

Thank you ladies. The embroidery is very pretty, and I'm amazed that you can do so much fiddling with patterns Once you know how patterns are made, you can pretty much do what you want with them. Well I do anyway at least the basic stuff. LOL

Here is the next version. I had just enough fabric left over after making my shirt, so I squeezed out one for my friend. On this one I lowered the neckline, took some of the puffiness out of the sleeve and took the whole thing in a bit. I also added bands on the sleeves to give a more feminine look. My camera takes lousy pics, that isn't blue it is a deep purple. I hope my little friend likes this as I made it especially for her.
