Is anyone sewing items for gifts? I know Christmas seems a bit ways off, but if we are going to sew something, we ought to get a start now! I am sewing aprons for my dd's and giving those with a homemade recipe book with our family favorties in it. I am adding a gift card to a grocery store and wrapping it in a flour sack tied with a ribbon. My very own "Gift-bag"!

I got a new sewing machine last year, but haven't used it yet, though others in the family have. It is like the saying about getting back onto the horse. I like the way you are going to wrap your sewing. Lovely.

Hahahahahaha.....oh, that was a serious question, sorry! Uh, well, I looked at them yesterday, does that count? I have made a list of what HAS to be sewn for Christmas and they are at the top. They really don't take long, I just need to sit still for a few minutes and do them.....it's the sitting still part I have trouble with! And when I am sitting still, I am either knitting, doing a crossword or quilting by hand, so since DH is off to work early this morning, maybe I'll get a start on them. I was going to make them for THIS Christmas, right?

I ended up giving a hand sewn gift for Christmas, unfortunately I didn't make it myself. My daughter and I picked it out. It was a pumpkin pincushion.

I did finish up the two quilted wallhangings for my inlaws but that was it. Well, I did knit the lap blanket for my friend at church and two scarfs so I did make a couple of things. Now I wil have to waituntil the fingers are feeling up to! I have quilt squares started for the youngest DS and his wife but again, no help from the joint in my fingers, so it will wait a bit.
