The cherries have started coming in. I pitted and put up 5 pints last night and hope to keep doing a few a night as they ripen. Mel's already counting how many cobblers we can make.

Aj my dog picked all of ours! He didn't even let them turn red! LOL my dogs pick apples, cherries, and peaches from the trees before we can get to them or before they ripen ! I think my cherry tree is on it's last leg however, it only produced a small amount of fruit this year

That's so funny. Our dogs do the same thing. We actually have to put up some temp. fencing to keep them from eating all the fruit. Some days you can look outside and they are just laying by the trees as if praying for fruit to fall.

WTG Pat! Too funny about Mel counting the cobblers, sounds like something Jack would do too! I never knew dogs would do that, mine never did. Then again she wasn't always the sharpest of the sharp, but she was my buddy.

Put up 8 more pints of cherries. That's 13 pints so far. Or as Mel would say - 13 cobblers.
