I just bought a "homestyle" zucchini pickle from the supermarket today and it is delicious! Had to find a recipe - www.abc.net.au/tasmania/stories/s1313383.htmI planted zucchini seeds a few weeks ago but we have had SO much rain (the stream that goes down past our property is quite loud and gurgly now) that I think the seeds will have drowned.... More rain forecasted for the weekend - we are going up to Taupo (6 hours drive) to see the Eco Show - hopefully I will be able to take part in the "instant garden" workshop - sounds great! ;D

The recipe sounds good rosebee. The only one we have tried to make was a version of bread and butter pickles, which is not pickles as we know it downunder, more pickled zucchini and onions etc. with mustard seeds in the liquid. I have heard of Taupo. Sounds like fun.
