I noticed that i didn't mention alot of things, so here are a few more... I was born in a french canadian family. I did all my schooling in english up to graduating in college. Both my parents don't speak english....my sister does a bit with a big accent. She didn't go to english school.... I met Pierre, my dh at 17, we married at 21. I am afraid of flying in an airplane, even if I did fly twice before. The first time, I was 10 yrs. old, alone, visiting my grandparents in Ontario. The second time, I was 18 with Pierre and his flying instructor and parents and it scared me for life--really. I went to two tv shows in my 20's and won each time. Once was $3000.00 shared with 4 members of my family (sis, aunt, cousin and friend)--it was french family feud and second was with my sister in a shopping race show. We won something like 1000.00$ each... I love to draw. I love nature. I love socializing but then again, I love being alone alot. mmm...I think it's all for now. BTW, it's so nice to know more about everyone. Denise I am very touched by your second post in this thread.... Carolyn, both your parents were German?...Did they come in the US as young people or were born here?... Ellise, the same question...were your parents born here or came to the US as young people?... I find it so interesting to read about your lives.

Lucie, my parents were born in the US, as were my grandparents, but both sets of my great grandparents came on the ship to Ellise Island from Germany.
I am a German thru and thru. I have those chubby little German cheeks, (thanks Dad) and I love German food. And yes, I have a temper and no I don't like beer..LOL

Oops forgot to add to Lucie that my great grandfathers name, Joseph Stierstorfer, is on the plaque at Ellise Island. And yep, Stierstorfer was my maiden name. Can you see why I was glad to marry someone that was named something simple like Williamson..LOL

I am glad to have caught up on some posts that I missed on this thread.
Beth I hope you do get to have a baby. Your husband doesn't look that old.
Hugs for the gambling, I guess it just doesn't pay even to try it.
I am the same about the not drinking or smoking.
