Wonderful post!
I am a Gemini - two sides of me - creative and practical.
I have been an almost life-long fan of the Tampa Bay Bucs football team - since around 1980.
I always thought I would have kids someday, but it doesn't appear to be in the cards for me.
Lifelong out-of-this-world dream: it'd be nice to fly to the moon, and to look at earth from space.
Teenaged dream career: managing a successful band, or directing/writing movies/television
As a teen and throughout my 20s, I wrote 'lyrics' to what must have been thousands of songs - probably mostly forgettable especially as there was never any music for them. They've been lost along the way.
I was a major TV nut in the 1980s and early 90s. At that time, I knew the name and character of just about any actor on TV then and in the 1970s as well - day and nighttime.
I LOVE music - especially discovering new songs but also enjoying old faves.
I love to cook, and to experiment with new recipes.
I used to make these really huge sandwiches as a teen - full of 'weird' things. My faves had: cheese, pork-n-beans (called baked beans down under), potato chips, choco-chip cookies or Oreos, mayo, mustard, and sometimes coleslaw. Um. I still have one from time to time. ;D
I love cheesecake - not too fussed on chocolate - unless it's IN cheesecake!
I would almost give an arm - okay, maybe just some fingers - if I could have a couple bowls full of home-cooked southern-style butter beans with a couple big slabs of cornbread - preferably all prepared by an older Southern woman who KNOWS how to cook.
My fave colors are 'natural' golds and browns.
I have a major thing for grasses. Yeah, grasses. Must drive my hubby nutso. Gimme a meadow full of grasses over a vase full of roses anyday. ;D
I love rustic-looking vases and bowls and such.
I was a vegetarian for about 20 years, from age 14 or so. Still don't eat much aside from chicken, mild-flavored fish, bacon, and mince/ground beef.
I went through a phase as a teenager of loving everything British. Since then, I've been true-blue Americana.
My niece and nephew have grown up knowing I adore seeing the US flag flying in the breeze.
I love American football and NZ rugby.
I will watch nearly any sport during the Olympics.
I have had problems with my feet since I was 15.
I have become quite the birdwatcher over the last few years.
I love design - gardening, website, interior, scrapbooking, etc.
My fave movie is "A Fish Called Wanda" and I've had a major crush on John Cleese ever since seeing the movie in the early 90s.
My fave song is "In My Life" by John Lennon/Beatles.
I've almost always driven sporty muscle cars. Would love to have a new Dodge Charger. Vrroom.
I was a prison officer for six years.
I love, love, love "Desperate Housewives".
I watch "Amazing Race" and "Survivor" and swore aloud when they were placed on tv at the same time - and against my other can't miss program, "Top Gear".
I can't swim.
I have big front teeth, and ears that stick out - I plan to someday have surgery to 'pin back' the ears. Well, someday. Maybe.
My husband is 23 years older than me.
We met online 7 years ago and have been married for 3.
I got caught up in a gambling addiction this year - pokie machines - won a fair bit, lost a fair bit more. Still trying to understand the bits in our brains that allow us to become addicted, the bit that predisposes us to it, etc.
I have never done any sort of drug, ever, nor have I ever smoked a single cigarette. Mum did good - scared the bejeebers out of us - only one sister ever smoked cigs for a brief time, and only two of us have occassional drinks.
I've never, ever been drunk - tipsy a few times, but never had a hangover, either.
Yeah, I need to get a life. ;-)
I quit school when I was 16yo - spur of the moment - bored - had excellent grades but low self esteem.
Well, I could go on all night but will stop there.
