If you could have any type of home you wanted, what would you choose? And why?

HGTV's Dream Home would be just fine for me. And an added bonus...it's in the mountains and you know how much I love that area. Yes ma'am, that would be fantastic!

Isn't that a beautiful home. Did you register for it Lynn? I did. Hey maybe we could co-own it.

ROFLOL Lynn, yes ma'am you can come over. And I promise I won't even set up the ironing board. As to noise, nope no noise here. Dh isn't a sports fan and the most noise we make since the children left is me hollering out the back door for dh to come to dinner. LOL. I do miss it though, I really do.
Umm, don't you feel a shopping or pampering trip coming on during super bowl.

aahhh.....no noise. That would be pampering enough for me. Actually I am staying over at my parents tonight....they went to see my sister and I am staying with my Grandpa. He's 96. And it's pretty quiet here.

I really am living in my dream home, but I would like to add on...our bedroom is very small and I would like a walk in closet and master bath... the kitchen and dining room are also too small and the kitchen cabinets are falling apart....Dh says we will do this, once we get our debts cleaned up

Well I am in my dream home. It could use some new carpet and windows, but it is the home I always dreamed of. I long ago stopped going to Home-a-rama things because it just made me discontent with my home.
The only thing I would do differently is have it on a lot out somewhere. I always told DH I wanted to live in a house that the only thing you could see from the road was the driveway.

You know Cheryl, I think that at different stages in our lives our idea of a dream home changes. I think home is where the heart is. I use to dream of a big house on a hill top. Or a big cabin in the woods, and then it was a big Victorian in town. Then it was a big ole farm house to redo the entire thing..Ok, so now I am almost 60 and I know that the work that would require to restore any Victorian or farmhouse is out of the question and I now know I don't need a big home. And I miss people too much to live back in the woods...So where am I going with all of this...now I just want a tiny home with lots of character to live out the rest of my days with my dh and my family close by.

Cara that sounds nice. I suppose if I had my way I would have a small ranch in my Mom's neighborhood in Louisville. That is really where I want to be. Fenced yard, basement.
