Question Time!
1. What song are you listening to right now, or what was the last song/album you listened to?
2. City slicker or country gal?
3. Your favourite breakfast is…
4. An item in your house (aside from computer and family!) that you cannot live without:
5. What three things would you want if you were trapped on a deserted island for 2 weeks? Would that list change if you were there for 2 months? 2 years?
My answers:
1. A cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Reason to Believe" - a very nice acoustic version by, I think Michael Penn and Aimee Mann. On this CD is a fave Babyface song called “With Him”; I have just rediscovered Babyface and he’s lovely.
2. Small-town girl most of my life. I now live in a city of about 350,000, but live on the outskirts of the city on a hill near the ocean, so it feels like we live much farther out than we do.
3. Varies, but I have to admit to loving big Southern breakfasts – gravy and biscuits, eggs, hashbrowns, grits, etc. Mmmmmmm. Alister teases me all the time because I have coke on many mornings of the week.
4. My photographs.
5. I think for 2 weeks I’d probably not be too worried, so I’d take things like a hammock so I could sleep off the ground, a couple big thick books, and a chest full of food. Two months…hmmm…I’d have to have the tools to GET food so a survival kit of sorts, at least one change of clothes, and the hammock. Two years? Egads…probably the same sort of things as for two months – and I’d just hope that Tom Hanks’ “Wilson” floated by to keep me company, or maybe some of Sting’s messages in a bottle, or, even better, Genie in a bottle to grant me three wishes. ;-)

2. City slicker or country gal? country gal, although I grew up in the suburbs. I have always been the odd duck out in my family. LOL
3. Your favourite breakfast is… bagel with cream cheese and a bowl of fresh fruit with a cup of black coffee
4. An item in your house (aside from computer and family!) that you cannot live without: sewing machines and crochet hooks
5. What three things would you want if you were trapped on a deserted island for 2 weeks? Would that list change if you were there for 2 months? 2 years? hubby, my katz, crafts to do and no my choices would not change.

2. City slicker or country gal?--country gal. I spent all my summers since I am 4 years old in the country.
3. Your favourite breakfast is…buckwheat pancakes with fresh fruits and english cream.
4. An item in your house (aside from computer and family!) that you cannot live without:--pen and paper--I write all the time and feel l anxious if I don't write everyday. lol.

-Country at heart. I love the quiet peacefulness in the country.the unhurried pace...

-aside from computer....chap stick and nail clippers I guess. They come in so handy. I used to carry a pair in my pocket in highschool. You would be suprised how well they substitute for scissors

-nail clippers again lol, and the survival skills to enjoy my stay lol

3. Your favourite breakfast is… NONE. . .I despise breakfast. . . . oh ok. . I LIKE breakfast, just not in the mornings. . favorite? UHM. . . . . waffles, crisp bacon, OJ, strawberries
4. An item in your house (aside from computer and family!) that you cannot live without: my body pillow- sure makes sleeping with arthritis a tad bit better at least
5. What three things would you want if you were trapped on a deserted island for 2 weeks?
a. my Bible
b. soap
c. salt
Would that list change if you were there for 2 months? 2 years? Not much-- after taking several wildreness survival classes, I can manage through most things.

Oh, my - I realized reading some of your answers that I was thinking "on a deserted island ALONE" so didn't include family. ;-)
I used to write all the time, too; I always had pen and paper nearby.
What is English cream? The buckwheat pancakes sound nice - but bagels and cream cheese....mmmm...haven't had that in ages.
Carolyn, I can see we'd fit in together on fave breakfasts! If you hear a knock at your door... (But um, you forgot to count to three on things you'd take to the island! LOL)
Melody - Nail clippers and chapstick...wow...when you put these kinda lists out there, someone always comes up with a surprising answer, and I guess that one was it for me! You're a real McGuyverette, aren't you? :-)
Sunshine...I think you came real close, with Bible, salt and soap...!!

I don't always eat breakfast, nor do I have a favorite breakfast food,
but I do like to have toasted english muffins with eggs,
bacon & cheese ( served with Heinz 57 steak sauce ). YUM!!
Every now and then, I like to have an english muffin
with some of my home made jams
( a variety of rhubarb jams, cranberry or strawberry ).
Once in a while I like to have berry flavored bagels with
berry flavored cream cheese.
Oops! I forgot to add, I also like to have Cheez Whiz
on toast for breakfast every now and then.
4. An item in your house (aside from computer and family!)
that you cannot live without:
Clorax Wipes!!
5. What three things would you want
if you were trapped on a deserted island for 2 weeks?
1) tooth brush
2) Crest Senitive Tooth Paste

answer 3. homemade biscuits with fig preserves, hash brown casserole with crispy edges, creamy grits, bacon and eggs................or toasted english muffins topped with deli ham and cheese..........or a big fruit salad with yogurt.
answer 4. hmm....that's a hard one. I guess I would have to say my pillow.
answer 5. my hubby, matches, my children. That would not change for any length of time.
