I have recently started a worm farm but only a few worms in it (they breed quite quickly so I should have a few hundred in a few months!) I have used worm tea (from someone else's worm farm) on cherry tomatoes and they flourished. The gardenweb vermicomposting section is here: forums.gardenweb.com/forums/verm/For worm tea, use the liquid drained off the worm bin, dilute with 1 part worm liquid, 4 parts water (rainwater best) although some people say it should be a 1:10 ratio.
