I've met Bob Newhart and Terry Bradshaw. Actually Itook Bob Newhart's order in room service. I was too chicken to deliver it LOL
My dh has met lots...among them Willie Nelson and Jack Wagner. (I can't remember any others off the top of my head, but he used to work in a really ritzy hotel on Cape Cod where the stars used to stay when there)

The only famous person I ever met was Crystal Gayle. She is from this local area here where I live now in Pikeville and she was preforming in a small theater there and I met her. I was floored by how long her hair was...

I don't suppose they'd be famous over there, but we had a tiny part of a TV show filmed at our house, and two of the actors who were here are rather famous. The fellow, William McInnis, was very cheeky indeed to my rather embarrassed dd who was then about 12.
About 4 years ago we were the team managers of one of our ds's football teams, and one of the dads who used to stand with us all was then - and still is - Australia's Treasurer, the person below the Prime Minister, who would be the equivalent of your President.
We've met a few very famous business people along the way too, but not so many actors.

Miss Violet,
Does cheeky mean rude?

Let's see:
John Ritter - his wife's family was from Carlinville, and I worked at KFC there, he'd come in quite a bit and was always so nice to us star struck teens. He'd pose for pictures, sign autographs, etc.
Johnny Cash, several times
Tex Ritter
President Carter President Ford President George W. Bush
Queen Elizabeth
more senators and congressmen than I'd care to list

Lynn, cheeky is ... not really rude, but pushing the boundaries just a little, but in a playful way.
Just looked it up in the dictionary, and it does say rude, but here the word is used more as I described above.
A friend often describes her younger male relatives as "cheeky monkeys" - they're just a little naughty, but still within the bounds of playful.

Nope, I haven't. My mom recently met Paula Deen. Does that count??? LOL Yes Lynn, Paula is a "famous" well known chef at FoodNetWork, and she has her own restaurant, so I'd definitely would say she's famous. Someday, I want to travel to Georgia and dine at her restaurant, The Lady and Son's. I 'am so impressed with all the famous people you ladies have met. The only famous person I've ever met was, Lassie, back in 1966 when I was 11 years old; backstage at the fair where I live. Got to pet Lassie and meet her owner Rudd Weatherwax.

Thanks, Miss Violet, for letting me know that. LOL.
You met Lassie? How cool is that?! Paula Deen and I are from the same hometown. Her aunt lives just down the street from my parents.
Denise, you have quite a list there!
