Sorry you are missing 'home' Cheryl. At least now I understand your avatar, it's been bugging me for days!

Since we have the Melbourne Cup here I could relate, everyone loves the Melbourne Cup. I was telling dh last night how at the start of the year I wanted to go to my hometown, but I think I am getting better, I just had to adjust didn't I? It was our 2 year anniversary here. Anyway I misted up a little.

I have been thinking about this issue alot. Last week I was thinking you can't really adjust until you let go, let's hope I remembered it right. If I have a thought like that again I will jump on the computer lol.

It probably wouldn't have been so bad except that DH & the girls were already gone to the ballgame. That left me to wallow in self pity a bit. I miss my Mom.

The way I feel a bit better about these things is to ask myself about my Mum at the same age as me. At your age Cheryl did your Mom live close to your Grandma? I do like living somewhere near Mum, but since my eldest is 18, I guess I am more past that stage.

No BR. My Mom left home to go to Louisville at 18. She got her diploma from the business college and then stayed.

Today my Mum has had a major life event and I have been waiting hours to talk to her while she is talking to someone else!! So I guess quite awhile ago I got used to having someone not on hand to talk to. It hurts though doesn't it?

It turns out Mum had a fault with her new phone, and I got to talk to her today.
