" QUICK STIR SCONES 2 cups SR flour, sm pinch salt, 1/3 cup peanut oil, 2/3 cup milk Sift flour and salt into bowl, add oil and milk and stir with fork until mixture cleans side of bowl. Place on floured surface and knead lightly. Cut with floured scone cutter, place on ungreased tray and bake in very hot oven (450° - 475°F) for 10 - 15 minutes."
