These are parrots that live in our area, that come down in the morning to snack on our sunflowers, mostly not our favs though.

Today I was admiring our late sunflower that our daughter planted near the front step. Our house is yellow, so I love it. It is just over 6' tall and the petals are still a little ruffled, not right out straight. It is in a very sunny and slightly protected spot so looking good.

Love that pic. I've planted my sunflowers again this year but only a few have popped through the earth. I've planted the big yellow ones and for the first time this year, a red sunflower as well.

Yes, some sit on the feeders near the windows now. The red sunflowers are a joy, you should like them Pat.

Time to plant the sunflowers again. We hope to do it tomorrow, maybe make a screen with the taller ones.
