I love the looks and concept of tussie mussies. I just love Victoriana anything. I have a silver tussie mussie holder that was a gift. I keep silk flowers in it winter, fall and then in sprng I remove those and tuck in whatever is growing in my garden that is small enough.
You can create a cute tussie mussie holder with a paper doilie as well.

For the pattern on the site for a tussie mussie I would use a paper doilie, they look pretty. I had a vague memory of the lamb's ears. I have some in the garden now. One day I will find my book, but I am guessing it is the same as the link above, very pretty.
