Someone wanted to see this. It's 3 tiers. The wind was blowing like crazy and the basil on top didn't tolerate this last, hot, dry spell very well. I think it will recover.

Karen~
That is so pretty. Love it. Basil is very sensitive to dry weather and intense heat. Give it a little shade, some water and it shold be ok. It may also help to snip it. Herbies love to be snipped. Thanks for sharing it with us.

What is in there Karen. I think I see a little sage.
You have given me an idea for two drums we found today behind the woodshed. Eventually they may get mandarines planted in them, but not until next winter as it gets too hot in summer to start one now.
Lovely color Karen.

Our girls had a lovely time planting out the two drums, that are very rustic looking. We have sage and thyme and oregano in them. They are to help out with cooking as it is harder to buy herbs here and they are a little on the expensive side.
They should help make our pavers a little more enjoyable and liveable. Usually it is such a hot boring place in summer. We have moved our woodshed there, at least for a little while, and it has provided more privacy.
Thanks again for the idea Karen.

We have begun harvesting some of our herbs, first some oregano, then some sage. They are not quite as tall as Karen's herbs yet though.
