Pineapple Sage *new pic**

Pineapple sage is one of the few flowers in our garden at the moment. I have some remaining like Easter daisies on one bush, a carpet rose that flowers all the time, some tiny roses and two buds, and French lavender.

It is wilty so I will have to put on some clothes to wash and save the water for them very soon.

"Basically, if you want birds in your garden, make sure you have at least six different things flowering at all times of the year and make sure that at least three of them are either natives or one of the sages. I know birds are supposed to prefer natives to anything else (after all, most birds are 'natives' too) but in twenty years of observing what our 127 species of birds like here, I've discovered they prefer sages (pineapple sage, fruit salad sage, tequila, red sage, orange sage) — the flowers produce nectar and the nectar attracts insects."

This is my new pineapple sage, the biggest yet, yet underneath it is actually still in a pot.



It is sitting in the new garden.

I think it is the old one dug up and moved, as there aren't that many small plants left at the old house.
