Seriously. She's discovered how easy it is to make basil pesto and is enjoying it so much that I'm buying a fresh bunch every couple of days. Yes, I will plant some, but it will have to grow quickly!

She likes it best on plain pasta, and will happily eat that for dinner pretty well every day of the week if I let her!

It is lovely when that happens with basil.

My uncle grew some when I was a teen and it was a joyous experience. We grew a little the year before last. A friend of my husbands grew so much she didn't know what to do with it. I guess it is a matter of putting in a few plants. I think picking it a lot helps the plant, I have been tempted to buy some lately myself to eat.
