Our Local Tip is such a Blessing

Today we found some dishwasher parts at the tip. We actually found a dishwasher identical to ours. Ours came back from our hometown which is 2 1/4 hours away yesterday. We used the repair shop that we used when we lived there. There doesn't appear to be one in this town and the regional centre which is in between the two places, a shop there wasn't open the Saturday we wanted to go. Sometimes it is easier to do what you know. Ours was fixed under warranty. Even though when we brought it to the shop it was a few days over, it broke earlier and we didn't get it fixed straight away as we didn't know what to do. Obviously we weren't the only ones, the other people took theirs to the tip! The joys of remote living.

DH got some free mulch at the tip. He is going to sieve it to get some soil to plant out a wheelbarrow which we also found at the tip earlier. He bought some pansies in our hometown at Big W which has cheap seedlings.

We also got a meat tenderiser, an aluminium one.

I didn't realise dh didn't keep a lot of those parts, and we have found our on button is not working properly.

In the grey basin thread I mentioned someone pulled up with a basin to throw out. We got the stand and dh has put this basin into our new to me house. We didn't have a place to wash hands in the toilet area without going to the separate laundry. The color looks quite nice. We have bought pillar taps for it as well.
