Here's a link with photos of our town. I don't know if you had heard about it, but a last year they destroyed the huge General Motors company that was in Boisbriand (my town)--it closed down after something like 30 years there. It was the major work place for much of the families here. Some had to move away in Ontario to still hold on a job from GM. Some retired early... Anyways...here are some photos of my area... I'll look for more. Share your photos of your town and area with us! www.trekearth.com/gallery/North_America/Canada/Central/Quebec/Boisbriand/

They are exquisite photos of a very beautiful area. Thank you for sharing with us. I will try to dig something up, but given that we live in the suburbs, it won't be anything like that!

Lucie I can relate. Our hometown had IBM and we saw alot of people having to deal with that. I guess that is the underlying reason why we moved as well. This is where I grew up: www.imagesaustralia.com/kingriver.htmIt is a shame there is only one photo.

The second one is the four lane that was cut thru more than one mountain in the middle of the mountain to make a road. It is awesome.

Pikeville, KY home of the Hatfield/McCoy Fued. We have the cemetary here also where those are buried. There is also a Williamson buried up there which we believe to be dh's relative. It is also the only cemetery in Pike Co that has black servants buried in the same place as their owners. Not much claim to fame eh.

Me standing on the tippy top of a mountain at a place near here called the Natural bridge. The bridge was made by God across two canyons and you can walk all around and over it.

The following picture is the most awesome place around here. It is called Cumberland Falls and it has a rainbow over the falls all day most days. But it's real claim to fame is the wonderful moonbow you can see most years in October. We were fortunate enough to see the moon bow a few years ago. I think there are only two places in the world you can see a moon bow and one is KY, and I believe the other is either in Australis or NZ??? Do you girls know that?
