Today, Australian time, Steve Irwin passed away due to a ray sting. I haven't heard our Prime Minister so sad before and he said some nice things about Steve Irwin.

Very sad. My mom just gave our little son a book about him last week. Of course, it's been on all the news here this morning.

His loss will be a big one, he sure was a character. It was so sad to see the photo of his wife and little kids today.

I don't think I would be able to look at the wife and kids.
One of the things the pm mentioned was the joy he brought to children, Violet does that sound right?

I always felt that he lived on the edge, but loved his great big personality. We were discussing last night about how he handled all those deadly reptiles and then to die by a sting ray, almost unthinkable.
I feel terrible for his wife and children. Such a horrible, horrible loss.
Praying for them also.

Don't know much about him, Br, only the occasional sighting on TV really.
One of the boys was in front of the TV today watching Steve Irwin's dad being interviewed. He seemed really nice, and very dignified, but gosh it was sad. They were best mates, he said of his son.
