Do you think that most Americans are still supporting the troops that are deployed as much a they were. What about support for the President ....?

I still think about the troops daily and pray for them. I think they are doing a wonderful job and I am betting as much as they want to come home, they believe in what they are doing and want to keep trying to bring peace to Iraq.

I still support our president and unlike some who think he should pull out of Iraq, I don't think he should.

I believe frugalmel's dh is still deployed. Mel?

I'm with you Carolyn, I still support Our Troops and our President. I think for some it is easy to say ...."Well, we have NO BUSINESS over there and need to bring our children home." I wonder what they would have said if the President had done NOTHING?
Would they still be bashing him the way they are now?

Oh, well they all have my support until GW sees fit to bring them back!

I remember on Christmas Day asking my dh to explain it all, I don't tend to watch the news anymore, which is probably not good. We thought it good that they were there I think. I think we have people there as well, not sure, will ask.

br, good to hear that your country is helping out over there! Thanks. Dh watches the news most all night..Me, I read it online, but sometimes watch with him. I can't watch for long though as I don't like it when the news media bash the president.

I agree Cara. I am weary of all this President bashing over the war in Iraq. I have a friend whose husband was deployed there and their base was a former chemical weapons plant! But, you don't hear those things on the news. Nor do you hear about the reception many of the soldiers get. Only how many have died, etc.

The troops are certainly in my thoughts and prayers!
