Some people suggest getting rid of the lawn and having a cottage-style garden with flowers, shrubs and vegetables all growing there, but lawn clippings make excellent mulch and are great to add to the compost bin, so it is a good idea to keep some lawn for those purposes.

We are not allowed to water it.
