I think most of yo know I'm opening a B&M craft/gift store here in town. It looks like we'll be setting up this weekend!
This place ws painted black, beige and maroon. It is now first lilac, chelsea (2 shades lighter than the lilac) and cows milk. The floor was mismatched (and mis cut) green tile. Now the tile pattern is an oak color. It has one of those drop in false ceilings. The black and white checkerboard tiles were replaced with new ones. Dh painted the rails that hold up the tiles in first lilac and replaced the long flourescent lights with recessed ones. The guys put a new toilet and vanity in last night. If I'd have know how much work they were going to do, I'd have taken more photos.
Today the munchkins and I will go in and clean the windows and floor and dust the furniture while the guys finish off the bathrom and hopefully move the rest of my furniture in. I have a huge pile of boxes in my dining room full of inventory and I'm ready to have them out of my house!

Good luck from me too, also one comment. The website looks great, but it would be wonderful if the pics would enlarge when you click on them. It may be too hard to do, but that is something that appeals to me on shop websites.

Well, I moved my office today. I do need to take a filing cabinet over, the one that was there got kind of beat up in the remodel. I'm going to take the kids' picnic table over so they have a place to color and play with their new Play Doh kitchen they don't know they have yet.
A neighbor gave me the most awesome antique display case! It's gorgeous! It's dark wood with a full glass front, glass top and the top half of each side is glass. It has kind of a stair step thing that fits inside for display. This woman is so sweet. Her husband built her a beautiful home in an old store/garage uptown. Her yard is fabulous with a waterfall and a little bridge. Anyway, she said it was just collecting dust and I might as well have it.
We're going to haul the inventory over tomorrow. I have 2 tall cheapo bookshelves that I am putting on either side of a short cheapo bookshelf and I will hang a decorative shelf over that. Then I have a large entertainment center that looks more like a bookshelf with a light in it. That's next to the door. I have a couple of rusty old school chairs I'm going to try to make look nice in the corner between them. (Mom has a bunch of dolls to display on them) I also have a strange, round, 2 tier end table, an even stranger stand that I can't even describe and a baker's rack. Hopefully I can find some more interesting stands at the junk store this weekend.
I'll be serving hot cocoa and treats on Halloween night and officially opening on Thursday.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to display sil's cards? Any other ideas for displaying dolls or table runners? Any ideas for furniture? I do have a quilt rack. It has a big ugly bird on the side, but I think I can change it into a shaker house without too much trouble. I also have an extra toddler bed (from the curbside mall) that I thought I could use the bottom to display table runners on.
I've gotta go. They've interrupted me 3 times while typing this!
