The end of the financial year in Australia is the 30th June. We now have available a service called etax, where tax returns can be done online. As the boys have pretty straightforward affairs, it's the quickest way for them to get their refunds back. Eldest did his own, and I did middle son's, which was very simple. The tax refund came through within a week, which made them both pretty happy.
Our tax system is different from the US, not sure about Canada, but I wonder if you also have the ability to submit everything on line.
