It seems that every year I'll start a separate account for Christmas savings, and every year around June someone's car will disintegrate or a million dollars of extra uni books will unexpectedly be needed, and the only account able to fund it will be the Christmas one. Of course, as December approaches I will then be well short of the mark and will need to cut costs elsewhere to make up the difference. Perhaps next year it's time to find an account where the funds cannot be withdrawn until November, so that no matter what, the money can't be used.

I have one, but there is not much in there atm. It is a Christmas Club account and they keep it available into January sometime from early December.
dh is going to the dentist and I feel my savings might be drained by that, I will have my fingers crossed.
The whole things about Christmas has been worrying me but I haven't come up with a plan. I have some of it covered though, including extra food.

Extra food is certainly an issue, particularly with the summer holidays I find. Ah, well, next year...
