I wonder how many people stick to one? Speaking with a couple of friends recently, they discussed the gifts they'd bought their offspring and it seemed they'd each spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars, despite declaring months earlier that they were cutting back on Christmas expenditure.
Some folk I know buy nothing all year, then go overboard at Christmas, but I'm not sure that it's setting such a great precedent. Also, of course, Christmas is not about presents.

I know what you mean. It is so hard with little ones at home and all the advertisements. I have definate lists from each of my daughters. My 12 year old wants a cell phone!
