We had to open another couple of these for temporary use. I decided to go with the AAA rated Rabobank, at www.raboplus.com.auWhat's interesting about this online account is the little encryption device that's required to access one's account. Once the account is set up, they send out what looks a bit like a tiny calculator along with account details. A few days later, a temporary pin number arrives along with activation instructions. What the little calculator actually does is to encrypt one's pin number, giving a different number to log on with each time. It's kind of neat, but of course the little device needs to be on hand each time you want to log in. Kind of interesting. What I also found interesting is that there is a list of ratings for the various online banks on the Standard and Poor's website.
