As I get older I think more about aging and the aging process.
What are your thoughts on aging? Do you think you will fight it all the way or age gracefully?
It isn't easy...I often say that getting older isn't for sissies!!!

Well I haven't died my hair yet, but I am not impressed about my eyesight getting worse this year. So I am OK with hair, one less thing to be worried about I guess.

When I started to go gray in my 20's, I dyed my hair-- now at age 44, I let it go naturally. I like my age, and wouldn't want to relive my younger years for anything!
However, the aches, pains, poor eyesight--- well, I'm less than thrilled with all that.

We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.

Well, count me in with the oddballs (what else would y'all expect from me?), I do color my hair.
As far aging gracefully, I may need a few lessons on that one.....
A dear older friend once told me, "Youth is a gift, but age is an art." Scratched my head at that one, but as I've aged, I've come to understand it better.
But I wouldn't go back into my 20's or 30's even if I could. Nope. My big thing right now seems to be my health.....I won't go into details, but if I could bypass hot flashes, mood swings and monthlies I would go for that one in a minute!

We are the same age and I haven't had the flashes yet. I did have one and asked dh if he thought it was a flash, but no, I was just panicking. We don't call them flashes here though lol.

Hey BR, I went to the dr recently with a myriad of symptoms.....she told me as we approach midlife all sorts of things start to happen......go figure!
I don't have the flashes very often, but when I do, they are purely torture. If I could get my hands on Eve, I would hurt her for the curse she brought on us women folks. I tell you the mood swings I have.......lordy, lordy....have you ever seen 101 Dalmations Cruella DeVille? That's about how I feel sometimes. Actually, I think I could make her seem angelic. I am taking some prescrip meds for it. And when I get cold, BR, I get so cold I shake. I went to bed the other night wrapped up in my flannel robe. Now, I don't even do that in the dead of winter here.....it just seems everything is so extreme. Nothing moderate, it's all one way or the other.....I'm either laughing hysterically or crying my eyes out...burning up hot or shaking cold....starving or naseauted......and my energy level has been way low lately....don't know what's up with that.
ok, enough.....lol

Thanks Lynn, because I don't know what is involved and I think I should at least know something beforehand.
