Maybe mature people don't really do reckless behaviour, thoughts anyone?

Br, I have been in KY for almost 10 years and have never once felt *home*.
I would love to be near one of my dear children. My son lives in Michigan which is home for me, my middle dd lives in Texas and my oldest dd lives in KY. Oldest dd is wanting us to move closer to them. I know as we get older we will need to be near one of them. I have systemic Lupus and dh will need help with me someday. It is hard decisions getting older. Although I don't feel 58, in my heart I am still 17.
If I lived in Michigan I have tons of friends there and also my sister and my dh's sister live there, and as I said above my son Scott also.

I wasn't quite sure where you wanted to go, so it is back home to Michigan? If it is anything like Florence Ontario it would be very nice and relaxing.
It would be terrible to not feel at home for 10 years. I know I am very lucky in that in the whole of Victoria we were given a teaching position here, as it is in the same area of Victoria as our home town, so has alot of similarities. For the first year I took the girls to ballet in a country city that I was familiar with, so that helped.

We lived near dh's parents for a really long time. Then they moved to be with their other children, I suppose I haven't understood it. MIL was having health issues. After they moved there they helped the children alot and mostly do so much, have renovated their house and all sorts of things and are nearly in their mid 70s. I haven't really thought what I would do in the same position.
My Grandparents always stayed where they were I guess that affects my thinking a bit.
My MIL shifted very soon after a major crises, so I always worried about if the decision was too quick. I did hear she had problems after shifting, however, she looks quite happy with it all now. They still haven't quite unpacked though.
