Do you think menopause exacerbates depression? I have always suffered from depression, but once I hit menopause it worsened. I had to change meds 2x and finally am starting to feel better.
Of course some of mine might have been going into menopause before Amanda was a year old. Then going to a FP and asking if I could be peri-menopausal and having her tell me "There is NO way you could have just had a baby and be menopausal!"
A later visit to my OB/GYN confirmed I was indeed menopausal at 45. Thanks Mom - I guess I never thought to ask when she and my sister went through this and they both went through early.
Anyway, I have been menopausal for about 3 years now and just starting to feel better. But it was rough for a while.

I'd have thought any hormone changes could exacerbate depression, especially when your estrogen levels are affected.
It must have been really tough for you to have little ones and be feeling like that. I'm pleased you seem to be over the worst of it.
