It makes me feel embarrassed, and I'm just not sure when it happened. The other morning as I waved good-bye to my hubby, (he was driving off to work), I felt something flapping under my arm. I'm shocked to admit that somehow, someway, I've sprouted excess *stuff* that hangs under my arm! As I waved the top part of my arm at my DH, the bottom half was swinging like a pendulum. *huge sigh* I used to laugh at the ones my grandmother's sported, now here I am, proudly flapping my very own turkey wings for the world to see. I'm just not sure when this all happened, was it overnight? All the things I used to think made my grandmother seem old and odd.....now I do the same things. Ya know, like going for total comfort with underwear? Remember Grandma's big bloomers flapping on the clothes line? Size "extra hefty"? Now all I want are good cotton briefs, things that breathe and don't climb up into my butt crack and hide. And bras...forget slinky. Just give me good old cotton, 3-4 hooks for good support and wide shoulder straps for comfort. Nope, I'm just not sure when this all happened, all I know for sure is that...Gram was pretty smart. Comfort and support stand for alot in this life! ;D

Oh my word, too funny! Isn't it just amazing what time does to our bodies and minds? My big thing growing up with my mom and grandma making alot of our clothes....was NO elastic waistbands. No siree! We wanted fitted garmets. Ha! Now where is that elastic today when I really need it??? Turkey wings.......lollllll.......I read this thinking it was something to do re the holidays...what a hoot!!!! I will never hear the words turkey wings again and NOT think of flabby arms...lol

Yup Lynn, time sure does have a way of doing unexpected things to our bodies. I'm not sure I approve of all the changes "time" has managed to manipulate on my body! LOL But, not much I can do about it. Just give me elastic waistbands, bras with good support and a comfy rocking chair!!
