Ok girls, this day has been one of the most frustrating ones of my life. I can't begin to tell you all everything that went wrong, but suffice it to say you would look like this Now, please please someone tell me a horror story from your home buying experience. I am going nuts.

Here is a story about the former owner of my house who was "kicked out" of it. I'll explain. Her husband was a police officer and was killed in the line of duty. The trust money left to their kids was substantial, and the mother used it to buy this house. Well when the husband's parents found out, they fought her tooth and nail to give the money back to the kids' funds, and she was forced to move out (This is probably a lot of simplification, but it's how the story was told to me. Anyway, when she was forced to leave she took EVERYTHING with her. EVERYTHING--stove (yes, even though that's illegal), the built in dishwasher, built in microwave, fridge, washing machine, dryer----toilet paper holders off the walls, curtain rods, windwo shades--I did say EVERYTHING, didn't I?? Then to make matters worse, she scratched and dented all the walls on the way out with all those appliances. There are actually holes in our walls (that she so considerately patched) from where they just tore everything out and pulled it out of the house. Picture taking those appliances out of your house without any regard to bumping into walls, etc. It's kind of funny now, but it was sooooo frustrating and stressful at the time. Does that make you feel any better?

{{{HUGS}}} Cara - no horror stories to tell because this house is the only one we've ever owned and we bought it from the builder. But I will tell you a funny. When we moved here from the rental house in Louisville, the nursing home company paid for our move. So the guys came and packed all our stuff (note to self- pack yourself next time).
Anyway, we get here and start unpacking. I open the box that says "linens and towels" and start putting them away. Halfway down into the box - what do I find? 2 cases of vienna sausages we had bought at Sam's club.
Now, what in the heck made these guys decide that the vienna sausages needed to be protected in the padding of the towels??? Of course these are the same guys who spelled What Nots - wot-nots.
LOL!
