Anihera's Sea Fish Soap(Check the link for the lovely photo)
Inspired by summer days of daydreaming beside beautiful ocean and swimming amidst mineral rich seaweed covered rocks.
Sea Fish (an 8lb batch approx)
* 1360.8g (48oz) freshly collected sea water
* 489g (16.89oz) lye
* 2721.6g (96oz) cert. organic extra virgin olive oil
* 680.4g (24oz) cert. organic coconut oil
* 226.8g (8oz) cert. organic palm oil
* 90g (3.17oz) seaweed (gathered fresh, dried then ground)
* 45g (1.58oz) steam distilled rosemary EO
* 45g (1.58oz) liquid chlorophyll
* Ground pumice (collected at the beach, smashed up then ground in blender)
1. Dissolved lye in seawater - water remained cloudy after 15 to 20 mins stirring - didn't clear the same as rainwater.
2. Water cooled to between 90 - 100C
3. Oils warmed to between 125 - 130C
4. Then water added to oils.
5. Hand stirred 15 mins.
6. Stick blended 1 - 2 mins.
7. Added seaweed.
8. Stick blended till light trace.
9. Added rosemary EO and chlorophyll.
10. Further hand stir & stick blend till well traced.
11. Poured into moulds.
12. Topped with grated pumice.
