I am curious what everyone uses their pie spice for.

love the pie spices. They are awesome when you not only cook with them but buy them whole and either make pot pourri or simmer on the stove top in the fall and winter.

You are lovely guys!
Is pumpkin bread the same as winter squash bread Jayne or different? Will have to check my recipe again. I guess eventually I will remember it all with practise.

Well I had a thought to look on McCormicks and found a recipe for Pecan Pancakes with Spiced Syrup. I can see through the recipes I have found for squash in particular this year that Americans love cinnamon and spices with more things than Australians have tried. www.mccormick.com/recipedetail.cfm?id=1112The most we ever use brown sugar for is for porridge usually. I have a question? What is cranberry jelly sauce? We get cranberry jelly in a jar at Christmas time in hampers, then it sits in the fridge. I could use it, if it is the same for this recipe: Pumpkin Cranberry Bars www.mccormick.com/recipedetail.cfm?id=683On the jar that I have here, yesterday I read on it, candied sweet potatoes, and I thought "is that like dried fruit lol" I have no idea. Here is a recipe, maybe it is like Jaynes. www.mccormick.com/recipedetail.cfm?id=1188OK I had a thought, this is what you have there for Thanksgiving? We have our Thanksgiving coming up in June. Here is a scented pinecones recipe. I think we have talked about before? We have never done or heard of that prior to this forum. My daughter Hayley has been crafting madly lately. This sounds like fun. www.mccormick.com/recipedetail.cfm?id=10726the problem is it has apple pie spice not pumpkin pie spice help!! Come to think of it, I don't think I would use my precious pie spice for craft, I would have to make it up from scratch.

Pumpkin bread is most likely similar to winter squash bread...it is a sweet, cakey bread like banana bread....I love cranberry sauce/jelly with Turkey and stuffing, we have it on Thanksgiving...the recipe in the link for whipped sweet potatoes is like one I have made only I use oatmeal insted of coconut..Thanks for the cool links BR!!!
