These are displayed through out my kitchen, dining room and breakfast nook. The first picture shows the top of my hutch and buffet. I have some of the stuffed ones places up there with a set of lights strung thru them. It looks pretty at night lit up.

This is a quite large fabric ginger. I bought him last year at Apple Festival...(one of my fave places to go). I added the cinnamon stix and the cookie cutter to his hands..and I had the same fabric as his vest so I made bows too.

This is a small wall in the breakfast nook that backs up to the LR. The rolling pin was my grandmother's and I had a dear friend from another board paint it for me.

The next photo is my peg rack with lots of little gingers on it. (some are ornaments) Dh made the peg rack for me. I had so many itty bitty gingers and no place to display them. talk about messy lol **if you look in this picture you can almost see the gingerbread wall paper border. It was purchased from Dollar General at 3$ a roll. Also the open doorway goes into the laundry room and you can see the hanging laundry wall border in there.

This ginger was sent to me last Christmas by my dd Tami. Isn't he cute. He sits on the floor and has a light attached to him. He looks a little Christmasy and I was going to remove the candy and such and re-do him for the rest of the year but didn't yet. LOL Am I slow or what. ( of course I would put the candy back on for holidays.)

This sets on the middle 1/3 of that buffet. These are quite easily made. If anyone would like to make one let me know and I can do a tutorial on them. It is just a terra cotta pot, and saucer. Cute eh?

This is one of the shelves in the middle of my hutch top. BR if you look closely you will see spindles all tied together to form a candle holder. I have tons of old spindles and love to *create* with them. (one of my spindles is from the Celanese Fortrel Factory in Maryland that my Father used to work at. I think that is the neatest thing I have. :-)

Hi Car, I am sorry I didn't catch you before you went to bed, most likely. Thank you so much for posting your photos, they are uplifting I like it all. I did my shopping this morning, the kids are due home from their last day of school soon.
I like the terracotta pot, I didn't know until you told us.
I like the red accents, I would love some red accents for our room.
I saw some spindles on one of the Australian sites. I am not sure what they are. It is interesting because we lived near a spinning factory for nearly two decades. Would they have used them there?
I love the creamy colors and the wallpaper border and the pegs. I love the picture above the rolling pin, the framed material ginger.
My daughters have done some stitchings on calico, they are nice, like on top of your dresser.
The school I was thinking of, was in the window of a $2 shop type place here in our town, someone makes them, it has been sold, but I should ask if they are making any more. It was kind of Little House on the Prairie styled school model. Like a church I guess. I have two stencils like that.

Wow Carolyn.....! Love those pictures...............makes me want to come over for some hot chocolate this winter!! I too love ginger's and would like to have some more. A couple of years ago I made a bunch of them from salt dough (not the kind you eat) and they turned really nice and dark brown and then I put a glaze over them and stood them along my window sills in the dining room at Christmas. I have every size cookie cutter of them too. Your house is just sooooooooo warm and charming and I love everything in it. You have a wonderful decorating touch. Can't wait to see it all done up for Christmas! You will show us won't you?

Carolyn I've just stumbled across your gorgeous photos - you have a lovely eye for color and decoration. Now my house looks too plain by far....
