This is a recipe that my husband's Grandma made once.
9lb melon, when cut up 7lb sugar 1/2lb green ginger 3 oranges rind of two 4 lemons rind of two
I was afraid of having it too bitter. I put half the sugar on over night when it boiled about 1/2 hour I put the other half in and boiled it about 4 hours.
