Easy Chocolate Fudge ( Prep Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: About 10 minutes )
1-( 12 ounce ) pkg. real semi-sweet chocolate chips 1-( 14 oz. ) can sweetened condensed milk ( not evaporated milk ) 1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In top of double boiler, stir chips and milk together until smooth. Remove from heat, and stir in walnuts and vanilla; blend well. Pour into a buttered 8" square pan; chill until firm. Yield: 9-12 pieces.
Note: This is an excellant homemade fudge recipe, but I used 2-( 12 oz. ) pkgs. of real semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2-( 14 oz. ) cans sweetened condensed milk, 1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. I poured this into a lightly buttered 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Yield: 3 1/2 lbs. ( or ) 48-( 1 1/4-inch ) pieces each. This was so quick and easy to make.
