Mother is going into surgery in about 30 minutes or so. I just got off the phone with her, and her IV is in and they were waiting for the Plastic surgeon to come in. Shellie (sister) will be checking in with me every few hours to keep me updated. Her surgery will take about 10 hours. She is having the right breast removed and then they will move a muscle from the back to the front to form the cup. Both sides, so that she will feel "whole" again I'm not going to Texas just yet, we will play it by ear and if she thinks she needs me then I will head out and be with her. Please keep my Mother in your thoughts and prayers today and while she is recovering. Thank you all so very much. Ellise

OK Mother's first phase is complete. No Cancer found as of yet (more tests to be done on what they removed). Now comes the long er phase and this part they said will take about 8 hours to complete.
Mother's doctors want my sister and I to have a new test done that tells if you carry the gene that causes Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer. So Shellie is setting it up for both of us. We want to have it done together so we both know at the same time.

Ok Mother is done! Woohoo! her surgery was a sucess! She is about a "B" cup now, and has 6 drains instead of 4 2 on each side in the back and 1 under each boob. The plastic surgeon said she also cut some scar tissue loose that was hindering the movement in her arm where the orginal surgery was done, so now she can move her arm more freely! Thank you all for your prayers

Oh wonderful news Ellise! I'm sorry I haven't been online much today to see how she was doing, but so happy that everything went as planned! Whew, what a relief! {{{hugs}}} for you, your mom and your sis!
