My mother's oldest brother is in intensive care unit. The drs. say to wait for the worst. His kidenys aren't working well, he has doubled in size with swelling--everywhere...He has water on his lungs.
He's only 65 but he is a diabetic, has high blood pressure and high cholesteral and he had a few AVC's since 5 years. He was partially blind and paralysed on one side.
Unfortunately he never quit smoking and eating junk food. He always said he would die when his time woudl come...but still, his children think he could have tried to care better for himself...they wanted him around for a long time....
I'll let you know if anything changes.

Thank-you Ellise. My mother went to visit him yesterday and she said he is very sick...he has a bag for urine and it is full of blood...
She asked him if he was afraid of dying...and he cried...he answered he hopes it won't take long so he won't suffer too long. My mother comforted him and she said he seemed relieved that they talked about this...she told him that God will take care of him, that he shouldn't worry...
The drs. said if they could operate they would, but his heart is too weak...oh and his legs are blue...no circulation....it's so sad...he's only 65...
If I have more news I will share it with you....
Thank-you for your prayers.

Lucie, Does your uncle know God? I pray that he does /0\ Please do keep us updated, and continued prayers for your uncle and family.
Lord Jesus, you came into the world to heal our infirmities and to endure our sufferings. You went about healing all and bringing comfort to those in pain and need. We come before you now in this time of illness asking that you may be the source of our strength in body, courage in spirit and patience in pain. May we join ourselves more closely to you on the cross and in your suffering that through them we may draw our patience and hope. Assist us and restore us to health so that united more closely to your family, the Church, we may give praise and honour to your name. Amen.
