My great aunt died this morning-- she's the last of my grandmother's brother/sisters . . . and she looked/acted so much like my grandmother.
This really hurts.

Did she pass away after your Grandmother? I was fortunate it happened the other way around. We all shed a tear for our grandmother's sister. They are so special. I still have one left though.
I'm sorry Denise.

Yes- this great aunt was the youngest of her siblings, only slightly older than my mom. Here is her obit. www.airsman-hires.com/obituaries/viewobit.php?oid=1614The daughter that preceded her in death, was only a couple weeks older than me. . . . and William is the same age as my sister. We all grew up together. My mom used to babysit the kids while my aunt was singing on the radio in St. Louis. Nannie was the last person who could TELL my about my grandmother. . . . .yes my mom and her sisters can. . but Nannie had a different perspective. It wasn't a child's view of their parent.

What a wonderful lady. She was born one year later than my Nana who I lost in 1984.

She was a beautiful woman. Sounds like she led a very interesting and full life.
Thank you, Denise, for sharing.
