Thank you violet.
I heard today what they had planned for the next six weeks. He will be away from home, ie not in the same town for that time.

I'll be praying for your dad BR. I haven't heard from my DD yet, so I don't have an update.

Praises! NO CANCER!!! but no reason for the problems that were mimicking it either. He has a variety of things wrong that they do know about, it's just the figuring out which one is causing the issue and then treating it as they can. Thank you all for praying

Thank you violet. I heard today what they had planned for the next six weeks. He will be away from home, ie not in the same town for that time. It turns out he will be home soon, and has lots of visitors planning to see him in hospital.

Just an update. Dad was in the hospital in his hometown. They wanted him to go to a nursing home and he went there on a Wednesday nearly 2 weeks ago I guess. It was right by his home so it was closer for his wife to visit than the hospital.
I get quite distressed when people post about these things on their blogs, but thought I'd better tell you, though I am OK, and I waited until Mothers Day was nearly finished in the States. My Dad passed away at 3am this morning.
My cousin rang me this morning, and it was good to talk to her. I don't have a sister and we grew up both only daughters of two brothers who lived close by to each other and we are the same age.
I was awake after 3, unusual. My cousin was the one who told me, though not at that hour, though others were woken to the news.

Sending a big hug your way. Take it easy over these next few days and enjoy the good memories of your Dad. Praying that you will have peace in your heart as you walk this journey.
